All of our classes are limited to four participants - ensuring every student in-depth, personal feedback and instruction.
Foundations and Fundamentals: a six week course covering traditional glass cutting, copper foil (Tiffany method) basics and lead framing. The student will complete two projects during the course, for them to take home and enjoy! All classes are limited to four participants - ensuring every student gets all the feedback and instruction they need.
Advanced Lead Construction: REQUIRES THE FOUNDATIONS COURSE, OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE! In this four week course students will be guided through the process of designing their own lead piece. Includes more advanced lead cutting techniques, panel installation basics, reinforcement and repair.
Advanced Copper Foil: REQUIRES THE FOUNDATIONS COURSE, OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE! This four week course provides more advanced practice for students who have prior experience in copper foil, and are ready to take their copper foil and soldering techniques to the next level. Course focuses on trouble shooting common soldering and construction problems, how to repair a piece, patina and basic painting details.
Beginning Stained Glass Painting: REQUIRES THE FOUNDATIONS COURSE, OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE! This four week course is an introduction to basic kiln-fired stained glass painting techniques. The course covers traditional grisaille paint, silver stain and enamels, and will cover the technicalities of mixing and firing paint, as wells as several different application techniques.
Advanced Stained Glass Painting: Requires previous attendance in the beginner’s painting course, or similar prior experience in glass painting! This course offers instruction in more advanced painting techniques and layered firings, and gives the student supervised time to further skills learned in the beginner course in the creation of their own pieces.
Open Studio and Private Instruction: Want to go at your own pace and create from your own pattern? Come to our open studio hours, where you can use the studio tools and space, with as much or as little assistance as you wish! For open studio hour there is no formal instruction, but an instructor will be on hand to answer questions and guide as needed/desired. Ideal for experienced creators who lack their own studio space.
